Where are you flying?

Experiences that transcend the journey.

Scenic flights and private charter across southern Africa and Southeast Asia, arranged by a commercial helicopter pilot.

Where are you flying?

A word from our founder

Aviation has kept me at every altitude.

I started in air traffic control, spent years arranging charters, and I fly many of them myself. That is what you get on the phone: someone who knows what the aircraft can do, what the operator will say, and what the afternoon wind will do to your view.

A scenic hour or a whole day built around one occasion, either way you are through to a person, not a desk. From first contact to arrival, every detail is considered with safety, experience and discretion in mind.

The map

Global by design.

I move between markets instead of selling one of them, so where you are flying matters more than where I am based. Every waypoint below is somewhere I can put you in the air.

What I arrange

Ways we get you airborne and to your destination.

01Aerial view of a coastline from a helicopter on a scenic flight

Scenic flights

Thirty minutes to ninety, doors on or doors off. The route is planned around the light and your seat.

02Helicopter on a remote landing site near a lodge

Helicopter charter

Lodge transfers, island hops, and the places a road takes six hours to reach.

03Private fixed-wing aircraft on an apron at first light

Fixed-wing charter

Longer legs and bigger groups. I broker the aircraft and stay on the booking until you land.

04Luxury vehicle waiting beside an aircraft

Ground and transfers

Luxury vehicles at both ends, so the day is handled from your hotel door to the aircraft and back again.

Explore

Pick a country. Then pick a flight.

Scenic prices are for the whole aircraft, up to six passengers and subject to weight. Charters are priced per trip, because the aircraft, the route and the day all move the number.

Sandbars and channels of the Bazaruto archipelago

The Bazaruto Archipelago

Dune islands, turquoise channels and sandbars that change shape with the tide.

Bazaruto is priced per flight rather than off a list, because the route depends on the tide, the season and where you are staying. Tell me your dates and how many of you there are.

Scenic prices are per aircraft, not per seat. Dollar, pound and euro figures are a guide, converted at R16.07, R21.67 and R18.61 on 3 September 2026. The final cost is confirmed in rand at booking.

The aircraft

Which one do you need?

The honest answer is usually decided by weight rather than by seats. Pick an aircraft and I will tell you what it carries, and what that means for your group.

A Robinson R44 helicopter on a helipad, unmarked, seen from the front left

Piston engine, two blades, and the aircraft most affected by weight. Right for a couple, or two friends with a camera.

Every one of these is limited by weight before it is limited by seats. Send me each person's weight with your enquiry and I will confirm the right aircraft, and who sits where, before you pay, not after.

How it works

Three steps, no deposit to see it.

STEP 01

You tell me the day.

Where you are, how many of you, and what you want to see. A sentence is enough.

STEP 02

I plan it and price it.

Aircraft, route, timing and seat, with the operator named and the cost broken out.

STEP 03

You fly.

I stay on the booking until you are on the ground. If weather moves it, I move it.

The honest answers

The questions people actually ask me.

How do I know the money reaches the operator?
You pay on terms you can see, and I name the operator and the aircraft before you commit to anything. If you would rather pay the operator directly, say so and I will set it up that way.
What happens if the weather turns?
We move it. Scenic flying in Cape Town and Vilanculos depends on weather, and anyone who tells you otherwise is selling you a disappointment. If a day cannot be moved, the operator's weather terms apply, and you see those before you pay.
Will I actually get a view, or the wrong side?
Seating is planned before you arrive, and on a scenic flight I will tell you which side to ask for and why. The wrong seat is the complaint I hear most often, and it is entirely avoidable.
Do you fly the aircraft yourself?
Sometimes. Every flight is operated by a licensed operator under its own approvals. I hold a commercial helicopter licence and fly many of these routes myself. Where I do not, I have chosen the operator and the crew, and I know exactly what to ask them.
Which markets can you cover?
Cape Town, Durban, the Drakensberg, the Wild Coast, Johannesburg, Vilanculos, private reserves across southern Africa, Phuket and Bangkok today, with Seychelles next. Charters in Australia, the United States and the UAE go through operators I know there.
How far ahead should I book?
For scenic flights, a few days in peak season. For charter and lodge transfers, as early as you can. Aircraft in these markets are few, and the good dates go first.

Book a charter

Tell me the day. I will tell you what is possible.

No deposit to see a plan. I will come back to you personally with the aircraft, the route and the cost broken out.

What are you booking?
Weight of each person, one box each

A helicopter is limited by weight before it is limited by seats, and I plan the seating by weight, so I need each person's weight rather than a total. Six is the maximum. Rough figures now mean I confirm the right aircraft, and who sits where, before you pay, not after.

Either one opens with your message already written. Nothing is sent until you press send.
